Katherine A. Davis, ODD Foundation’s director of education, leverages an extensive background in traditional and innovative education to drive the organization’s educational initiatives. With a career spanning over a decade, Katherine is distinguished by her commitment to integrating arts with core academic subjects and her passion for fostering inclusive learning environments.

Currently, Katherine teaches Introduction to Art and Drawing and Painting I at Bradshaw Mountain High School in Prescott Valley, AZ. In this role, Katherine coordinates and leads student art shows, while seamlessly incorporating elements of science, math, and history into her curriculum. This interdisciplinary approach highlights her dedication to creating a holistic educational experience for her students with diverse backgrounds.

As an educator, Katherine has implemented curricula designed to teach a broad range of K – 12 students in Arizona. Her innovative methods led to Katherine being an early adapter of video lessons at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, Katherine spent countless hours learning and producing art video lessons, including creating murals, water color, and even mixed-media collages. Her energy and enthusiasm as an educator have allowed Katherine to connect with her students across different academic levels. Her experiences led to a productive run as a Resource Educator, providing targeted and customized instruction to younger students using assessment data.

Her work extends beyond the classroom into educational volunteerism. Katherine is an active member of the National Art Honors Society and has founded multiple clubs focused on youth development and arts education. Her dedication to enhancing student engagement and achievement is evident in her roles with the Optimist Club and her contributions to community art shows and events.

As the Director of Education for the ODD Foundation, Katherine will provide quality control over all academic content produced. She will also oversee any necessary certifications and qualifications needed to ensure that all materials are properly vetted and designed to be the most efficient as possible.

Katherine holds a master’s degree in education with a focus on reading from Grand Canyon University and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, from Northern Arizona University. She is certified as a reading specialist and holds teaching certificates for art and elementary education in the State of Arizona.

Katherine’s strengths in assessment, curriculum development, and collaborative teaching reflect her commitment to educational excellence and her ability to inspire and lead within the ODD Foundation. Her innovative approach and unwavering dedication make her a pivotal force in advancing the foundation’s mission to promote lifelong learning and educational empowerment.
